The Great Commission Evangelism Ministry at Calvary Chapel Harvest Life exists to boldly proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ beyond the walls of the church. Rooted in the Word of God and led by the Holy Spirit, our mission is to reach the lost and broken by putting our faith into action through street evangelism, local outreaches, and intentional engagement within our community.
Jesus commanded His followers, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” (Mark 16:15). Scripture also asks, “How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in Him of whom they have never heard?” (Romans 10:14). The message we share is the good news that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3–4). All who repent, trust, and believe in Him as Lord can receive forgiveness and eternal life (John 3:16; Romans 6:23).
Following the example of Jesus, who “came to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10), we take the gospel into neighborhoods, streets, parks, and public spaces—meeting people where they are with truth, compassion, and love.
Through prayer, street ministry, community events, and practical acts of compassion, we communicate God’s Word through both action and conversation. Whether engaging in gospel-centered discussions or simply being present, our desire is to reflect Christ with humility, boldness, and grace. As Jesus promised, “You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me” (Acts 1:8). In every interaction, we rely fully on the guidance and empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
This ministry also equips believers to live with a missional mindset—walking wisely toward those outside the faith and letting their speech be gracious and seasoned with truth (Colossians 4:5–6). No matter one’s level of experience, there are opportunities to grow, receive training, and step forward in confidence.
Together, we go into our community—faithfully sowing the seed of salvation, sharing the way to eternal life through Jesus Christ, building meaningful relationships, and trusting God to bring the increase. All is done for His glory, as we fulfill the Great Commission one life at a time.
