1. Be reading your Bible!
2 Timothy 3:16-17
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
If I’m complete and equipped by the Word then I’m incomplete and ill equipped with out it. It’s your Bible that will teach you about His plan for your life and it will navigate you through life’s difficult moments. As food fills and nourishes the physical body so also the Word of God will fill, nourish and satisfy your soul. Spend time daily reading your Bible, I’d suggest beginning in the book of John. By reading 4 chapters daily you will be able to read through the whole Bible in a year.
2. Be in Prayer!
“But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.”
This is one of the ways God communicates with us and we communicate with Him. As all relationships need communication in order to develop and grow, we need to seek God and pour out our hearts to Him. He will be found by those who seek Him, which is why it is so valuable to spend quality time with Him. Prayer should be the number one priority in your day.
3. Be in Church!
“not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”
